Daggers boss set to make no changes ahead of trip to Newport County

John Still looks likely to put his trust in the same Dagenham & Redbridge team to get the right result against Newport County after performing well at home to Northampton Town.

Last weekend was another case of close, but no cigar for Daggers against a team chasing promotion having also pushed Oxford United and Plymouth Argyle hard, but for little reward.

One area where Still may have be inclined to make changes is in attack, with both Ashley Chambers and Christian Doidge culpable of missing good chances against the Cobblers.

But with Oliver Hawkins still adapting to life in the Football League, Jamie Cureton believed to have suffered a knock in training this week and Matt McClure still recovering from an ankle injury, Still’s hands appear to be tied.

Andre Boucaud turned in possibly his best showing of the season so far and looks likely to keep his place for the trip to Wales, albeit partly through a lack of alternatives with new addition Luke Guttridge the only man likely to step in.

Long-term injury concern Matt Richards is expected to be fit within the month, but there is still no exact timescale for the return of Zavon Hines who last played in September.

Probable XI: Cousins; Passley, Worrall, Hoyte, Dikamona, Hemmings; Boucaud, Labadie, Muldoon; Chambers, Doidge
