George Sessions provides player ratings following the goalless draw with Southport.

Daggers and their Conference Premier opponents couldn’t be separated in the first round of the FA Cup and will therefore contest a replay on Tuesday November 18.

Mark Cousins (7) – Another assured and concentrated display by the home goalkeeper, he wasn’t called on too many times but made a superb save from Richard Brodie and an impressive stop late on.

Damian Batt (7) – Right-back endured a torrid opening 20 minutes as Paul Rutherford got lots of the ball but improved as the match went on.

Matt Partridge (7) – Decent display from the youngster, who was returning to starting team for first time since October 21 at Luton. He lacked accuracy with his passing but was solid in defence.

Brian Saah (7) – Experienced defender looked nervous at times but grew into the game and was a leading presence at the back.

Nathan Green (7) – Some encouraging moments from the full-back, looked to run at Southport quite a few times. Good all round performance.

George Porter (6) – He couldn’t get on the ball enough during the first half but when given an opportunity looked threatening. Subbed at the break.

Luke Howell (7) – He was barking orders to his team mates throughout and showed good energy on his return from injury.

Billy Bingham (8) –. His calmness on the ball was pivotal for Daggers, especially when they were struggling early on. He instigated various attacking moves by keeping the ball and using it intelligently. Bingham was also excellent defensively and made key block in injury time. Man of the match.

Abu Ogogo (7) – Good comeback from the skipper following suspension, he was his energetic best and his pressing helped Daggers.

Ashley Chambers (7) – Most likely Daggers player to cause something in the opening hour, run at his full back on numerous occasions and got some good shots off. Set pieces weren’t up to his usual standard though.

Jamie Cureton (6) – Forward worked hard and had good movement but was isolated too much in the first half and the ball didn’t come to him too much, apart from chance at end of first half.

Substitutes:

Rhys Murphy, for Porter 46. (7) – Another encouraging cameo from the forward, who has been out for eight months. He linked up nicely with Cureton and came close to scoring the winner but couldn’t get enough purchase on his shot.

Andre Boucaud, for Ogogo 61. (7) – His introduction coincided with Daggers starting to pass the ball with more purpose. He proved a good option in midfield and allowed Bingham to move further forward. Good cameo.

Ashley Hemmings, for Howell 75. (6) – Little time to provide but looked likely during his appearance.
