Ashley Hemmings 61st minute header earned Wayne Burnett’s team a point at Abbey Stadium, which was enough to move them out of the relegation places in League Two.

Daggers went behind when Cameron McGeehan struck home midway through the first period, but restored parity after the break.

It was a vastly improved overall performance from the Victoria Road outfit with them remaining solid as well as showing an attacking threat throughout.

Mark Cousins (6) – A poor start from the normally assured keeper and his kicking was a bit off all night, but was brave throughout and his handling was good.

Damian Batt (7) – Good performance from right-back, who attacked well in the first half and stood firm alongside team mates at times in second period.

Scott Doe (7) – Another strong performance from the skipper who battled well with U’s forward Tom Elliot.

Ayo Obileye (8) – A rock at the heart of Daggers defence. He made a couple of key blocks and was good in the air.

Joe Widdowson (7) – Tidy display by the left-back and showed good attacking threat after the break and supported Hemmings well.

Luke Howell (6) – Different role for the midfielder on the right, but he worked extremely hard and did a good job out wide.

Billy Bingham (7) – He was restored back to his original central role and dictated play well and battled excellently.

Andre Boucaud (7) – Superb composure on the ball and delivered telling cross for equaliser. Strong performance.

Ashley Hemmings (8) – Lovely flick header for the goal, but his all round game was good. He was a constant threat for Daggers and delivered some decent crosses in second period. Man of the match.

Rhys Murphy (8) – A really encouraging performance from forward, who is returning to fitness. He was involved constantly and showed some lovely touches.

Jamie Cureton (7) – Hard working display again from Cureton, but not many clear cut chances except for a couple of volleyed efforts from awkward positions.

Substitutes:

Abu Ogogo, for Howell 79.

Alex Jakubiak, for Cureton 82.

Joss Labadie, for Boucaud 88.
