Dagenham & Redbridge team news: Cureton ready to lead line again

Evergreen striker in primite position to replace injured McClure in attack for visit of Plymouth

Jamie Cureton looks set to be restored to the Dagenham & Redbridge starting line-up against Plymouth Argyle after coming off the bench to score the winner in midweek.

The evergreen striker dropped was a substitute for Tuesday’s trip to the Cherry Red Records Stadium, but was on inside 300 seconds after Matt McClure, who had replaced Cureton in the XI, was forced off with injury.

McClure looked in some pain as he left the field, but Cureton scored the winner 10 minutes from time and continued a promising partnership with Kyle Vassell.

There are also injury concerns surrounding Nyron Nosworthy as the centre back was another forced off in the first half of the win in south London.

Ayo Obileye took the former Sunderland man’s place on the pitch and is likely to start alongside Clevid Dikamona at home to the Pilgrims should Nosworthy miss out.

There may also be a recall for Ashley Chambers, who watched on from the bench as Jake Mulraney struggled to make an impact at Wimbledon.

Elsewhere, Wayne Burnett may not make too many changes as he looks to build momentum following Daggers’ first league win since the trip to Northampton Town on September 5.

Zavon Hines (knee) and Matt Richards (foot) both remain long term concerns for the east Londoners.
