Dagenham & Redbridge striker Tomi Adeloye is looking to build on his goal in their 2-2 draw against Boreham Wood in the FA Cup as he hopes to start in the replay.

The 22-year-old front man is eager to use the confidence from getting on the score sheet in their last match when he gets his chance.

The former Hartlepool United man will be hoping that comes this evening when they face Boreham Wood at Victoria Road in their fourth qualifying round replay.

But he insists whatever the manager Peter Taylor decides he’ll back his decision and give 100 per cent to the cause.

“Penalties I’m always confident, I never really ever feel like I’m going to miss, but that’s just my confidence and a lot of them were trying to get into my head telling me all sorts, but I just shrugged that off and done what I needed to.

“I was always happy to take the penalty and knew that was the moment to get a goal.

“Hopefully I can use this as a little bit of momentum to go on a run and score some more goals.”

Before adding: “I’ll keep working hard and training hard, when the gaffer feels like I’m ready to start, I’m sure he’ll throw me in but from my side of things I’ll keep working hard and do what the team needs.

“Whatever the gaffer thinks is best for the team I’ll be with it.

“I’ll put a 100 per cent in either way; I’m just looking to keep learning and playing under the gaffer and keep moving forward.”

Adeloye also revealed the squad is confident after fighting back from 2-0 down to nab two stoppage time goals to earn themselves a replay.

“The lads are really buzzing, so we’ll take it back to our place and hopefully get the result.”
