If Wayne Burnett’s side beat Morecambe next week they will host Whitehawk in next round

Dagenham & Redbridge will host Whitehawk in the second round of the FA Cup if they can defeat Morecambe next week.

Wayne Burnett’s side were held to a goalless draw by the Seasiders on Saturday at Victoria Road.

It means they will do battle with their League Two rivals again next Tuesday (November 17) in a first round replay at the Globe Arena.

If Daggers can win that tie they will welcome National League South side Whitehawk to Victoria Road for a fixture taking place on the weekend of December 5.

That would represent a fantastic opportunity for Burnett’s men to quality for the third round of the FA Cup, but they have to beat Morecambe first.
