Pre-season friendly: Great Wakering Rovers 2 Dagenham & Redbridge 6

A Daggers XI picked up a 6-2 win at Ryman One North side Great Wakering Rovers.

First-team players Ian Gayle, Jon Nouble and Nathan Green all got 90 minutes under their belt, while the rest of the team was made up of trialists, including substitute Nabil Guedioura, who made a big impact on the game after coming on at half time.

Former York City midfielder Andre Boucard also featured, as did ex-Chelsea youngster Bobby Devyne and former Bournemouth defender Ryan Case.

In the starting XI was winger Mykel Beckley, formerly of Daventry Town and ex-Yateley United midfielder Steve Ramsden

The hosts took an eighth minute lead shooting past former Aveley goalkeeper Ronnie Worster, before Beckley struck the crossbar for the Daggers.

But Beckley soon found the net with a fine solo effort on 13 minutes, and that’s how it remained at the break.

Ten minutes into the second half and the visitors were in front when neat play from Guedioura saw him tee up fellow substitute Adi Yussuf, formerly of Lincoln City, who slotted home.

That proved to be the start of a goal glut as Guedioura and Youseff swapped roles as the latter was pulled down in the box.

Guedioura made no mistake from the penalty spot before Beckley turned provider for the former Crystal Palace youngster to double his tally.

The hosts did pull a goal back to make it 4-2, however the Daggers went straight back up the other end and restored their three-goal cushion through Axel.

Guedioura spurned an opportunity for a hat-trick when hitting the post, but five minutes from time the scoring was rounded off by the visitors when Tash Richmond slotted home.

The Daggers first-team are back in friendly action on Saturday when they host League One side Colchester United.

Daggers: Worster (Moore 46), Case, Nouble, Boucard, Richmond, Devyne (Guedioura 46), Beckley, Ramsden (Youseff 46), Axel, Green.
