Non-league Waltham Abbey visit Victoria Road for cup tie

Dagenham & Redbridge host Ryman North side Waltham Abbey this evening in the fourth round of the Essex Senior Cup and another strong team could be selected.

Wayne Burnett’s men progressed from the third round after defeating another Ryman North outfit Barkingside 2-0 on October 27.

That match marked the return to first team action for Rhys Murphy, with the forward netting in the win and playing the full 90 minutes.

Murphy could feature again alongside Christian Doidge this evening – who also featured in the previous round.

Luke Howell is currently suspended for Daggers following his red card against Southport last week but that doesn’t prevent him playing this evening so he could feature tonight to keep his match fitness up, like captain Abu Ogogo did in the previous round.

Abbey, meanwhile, made it through to round four by defeating league rivals Heybridge Swifts 3-1 away from home, but Burnett’s men will hope to progress further in the competition this evening.

They have won the Essex Senior Cup twice in their history, the last time in 2001 but were runners-up in 2002.

The match will kick-off at 7.30pm with tickets on the gates priced at £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
