Dagenham & Redbridge striker Elliott Romain has departed the club to join National League rivals Maidstone United.

26-year-old Romain originally joined the Daggers from National League South outfit Eastborough Borough in March 2017 after spending two season with the Sports.

The forward made 38 appearances in total for The Daggers and has played in every game this season.

Romain has scored five goals for the Club, four of which coming in the opening three months of this season.

Manager Peter Taylor said: “Maidstone have rung me several times about Elliott, in the end, I got a phone call last week and then spoke to Elliott about it.

“After a good discussion with Elliott and myself, I decided to allow him and his agent to go and talk to Maidstone. They have done that and came back to say that they would like to go.

“Elliott has got my good wishes, he is a good lad and has had a good affection with Dagenham & Redbridge, but I think he thought it was in his best interests to sign for Maidstone.”

The club would like to thank Elliott for his services and wish him every success for the future.
