Dagenham & Redbridge will face Eastleigh in the second round of the FA Cup, should they progress past Southport in next week’s replay at Haig Avenue.

Wayne Burnett’s side were held to a goalless draw on Saturday with the Conference Premier outfit at Victoria Road.

And should they defeat the non-league outfit on November 18 then they will have another Conference side in Eastleigh.

The Victoria Road side have been defeated in their past two FA Cup campaigns in the first round of the competition to League One opposition but will have a great opportunity to make the third round for the first time since the 2011/12 season should they defeat Southport.

Eastleigh defeated league rivals Lincoln City to make the second round and boast former Daggers striker Ben Stevens in their ranks.

If Daggers can progress the tie with the Spitfires will be played between December 5-7.
