Fixture rearranged due to the U’s FA Cup involvement

Dagenham & Redbridge’s League Two match with Cambridge United has been rearranged for January 27.

Wayne Burnett’s men were set to face the U’s on January 24, but Richard Money’s team are involved in FA Cup action that weekend so the fixture was postponed.

However, the league clash has been quickly rearranged for Tuesday 27 with a 7.45pm kick-off and it could offer Daggers a great chance to pick up some more away points.

Cambridge host Premier League giants Manchester United on Friday 23 in the fourth round of the FA Cup and teams down the lower end of the professional scale can often struggle following a cup tie against major opposition.

In the previous encounter earlier in the season U’s defeated Burnett’s team 3-2 at Victoria Road in September despite goals from Luke Howell and George Porter.

Daggers will look to put that right, but first have this weekend’s clash at Northampton Town to concentrate on.
