League Two team news – Dagenham & Redbridge v Chesterfield

There may be no new injury concerns for the Daggers going into today’s match with Chesterfield, but now may be the time that boss Wayne Burnett starts looking at his options ahead of next season.

The Victoria Road side are now mathematically safe after Good Friday’s 1-0 win at Torquay United, and with just three games remaining, the Daggers chief could take the opportunity to cast his eyes over a few players.

Goalkeeper Jordan Seabright is out of contract in the summer along with seven others and the youngster may get a chance to prove his worth in the remainder of the campaign.

Sean Shields is another who could feature over the remaining weeks of the season, while centre back Ian Gayle, also out of contract, could keep his spot in the starting XI after a solid showing at Torquay on Friday.

Rhys Murphy (groin), Zavon Hines (knee) are the only injured absentees, while Scott Doe serves the final game of his three-match suspension.

Femi Ilesanmi and Blair Turgott, who returned from injury for the game against the Gulls, could once again feature.

Chesterfield, who could seal promotion with a win against the Daggers and with other results going their way, picked up a few knocks in the draw with Exeter City on Good Friday.

One definite absentee is Sam Morsy after his sending off against the Grecians, though Jimmy Ryan returns from suspension. Ollie Banks (foot) is also ruled out, after suffering the injury in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final loss to Peterborough United.

Drew Talbot also remains sidelined for Paul Cook’s side after he suffered a recurrence of the abductor injury that has kept him out of action for a number of weeks.
