Dagenham & Redbridge manager Wayne Burnett admits he will look at loaning out some members of his squad when everyone returns to full fitness.

Luke Howell is set for a few more weeks on the sidelines and Zavon Hines isn’t close yet but Rhys Murphy has returning to first team training recently.

Daggers already have forward Jon Nouble and midfielder Sean Shields out on loan and Burnett has been happy with their progress.

And he could send more players out on loan, he said: “I think we will (look at sending people out on loan).

“We will potentially need to do that when the likes of Hines and Murphy come back.

“Mason Bloomfield has come back now but Shields has been out at St Albans because he needed some game time.

“Jon Nouble has also been at Conference level (with Welling United) and been getting game time which is good for him and it gives him exposure because his chances were limited here.

“They have both gone to two good clubs and both got minutes.

“They have all done well. We have had them watched and we have tracked their progress.”

Burnett also revealed the club played a development match against Ryman Premier Billericay Town on Tuesday.

And although Murphy didn’t play due to weather conditions, it enabled the Daggers boss to give more minutes to members of his squad.

“We ended up having to change it because we couldn’t get a facility but we played Billericay Town and won 3 or 4-1,” said Burnett.

“It was a decent run out for some of them. We were going to get Rhys some time but he couldn’t because we had to change to an astroturf pitch and it was weather permitted anyway.

“But the likes of Christian Doidge played, Bradley Goldberg and Billy Bingham played so it was good to get people minutes.”
