Trialists Christian Doidge, Tash Richmond, Bobby Devyne all started for the Daggers, while there was also a return from injury for Sean Shields and Damian Batt who were both included in the starting XI.

On the bench for the visitors were former Liverpool and Southend United youngster Michael Ngoo, and he was alongside another trialist in Nabil Guedioura.

The Blues took the lead with 11 minutes on the clock when Chris Benjamin managed to jink his way through the Daggers defence before finishing past Mark Cousins.

Shields and Doidge linked up well as the visitors tried to respond immediately, but the latter headed wide.

However on the 20-minute mark Burnett’s side did find the equaliser when Damian Batt’s great throughball found Bradley Goldberg and the striker made no mistake.

There was plenty of action in the early stages and the hosts restored their lead eight minutes later as Frazier Shaw’s centre found Ricky Sappleton and he headed home from close range.

That was how it remained at the break, though Goldberg turned provider as the Daggers equalised on 62 minutes.

For the second night in succession he used his blistering pace to good effect as he beat home goalkeeper Atu Ngoy to the ball before pulling back for Doidge and he supplied the finish.

Ngoy was in the thick of the action as the former Romford goalkeeper produced a fine double stop to deny Goldberg and Doidge.

The latter thought he had scored his second for the visitors, only to see it ruled out for offside, while substitute Frankie Raymond’s free-kick was headed straight at Ngoy by Guedioura.

And though both sides tried to find a winner, they had to settle for the draw as Daggers head into Saturday’s home friendly against a Spurs XI.

Daggers: Cousins (O’Brien 60), Batt (Ngoo 46), Green, Gayle, Pykes, Raymond, Shields, Richmond (Guedioura 46), Doidge, Goldberg (Nouble 75), Devyne
