Former West Ham youngster could sign a deal until the end of the season

Dagenham & Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett has confirmed Joe Widdowson has been offered a contract to remain with the club until the end of the season.

The Victoria Road manager confirmed they were trying to keep the 25-year-old at the club after his loan with Bury ended following last weekend’s victory.

The former West Ham United youth graduate only signed a short term contract with the Shakers last summer and is now free to talk to other clubs.

Burnett said: “We are trying to sign Joe until the end of the season. We have spoken to him and we would like to keep him with us.

“We have offered him a contract so we are waiting to hear back from him about that.”

The left-sided defender has played three times since joining Daggers on loan at the end of November – starting in the 3-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle on December 20 and the 2-0 loss to Stevenage Borough on Boxing Day.

Burnett will hope he can secure the services of Widdowson, who was born in Forest Gate, until the end of the season and that the defender can help the clubs battle to move away from the relegation positions.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
