Dagenham & Redbridge haven’t announced their retained list yet but three of the out of contract players have been released early from their deals.

And it’s two of the more experienced players in the shape of goalkeeper Chris Lewington, who ends a six-year spell at Victoria Road, and left back Femi Ilesanmi.

The 25-year-old keeper has represented the club on 143 occasions over his time at Victoria Road, while Ilesanmi made 134 appearances for the Daggers in his four years with the club.

Also released is striker Alex Osborn, who has spent the season out on loan with Ebbsfleet United.

Osborn joined the club on a three-year deal from Grays Athletic back in 2010, but he never broke into the first team in his time with the Daggers.

Last pre-season the striker was given a new one-year deal at the club, but the 20-year-old was sent to the Conference South side for the 2013-14 campaign.

On the release of the trio, Burnett told the club website: “It’s always sad to see players leave, I’ve been part of their development and careers and I will always want them to do well.

“Lewington made a decision that he felt it was the right time for him to leave, I’ve known him since he was 17 and respected his decision.

“Femi, it was also the right time for him to move on, he’s been a fantastic servant for this football club and I wish him every success.

“Alex has been here since he was 16 and has never quite got the opportunity, hopefully he can go on and prove us all wrong, he’s got some fantastic attributes.”

The club have yet announce the future of fellow out of contract players Jordan Seabright, Gavin Hoyte, Ian Gayle, Afolabi Obafemi, Chris Dickson and Bradley Goldberg.
