Former Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeepers Chris Lewington and Jordan Seabright have wasted little time in finding new clubs.

The pair were both out of contract with the Daggers at the end of last season, and Lewington had been on trial with Championship side Watford recently.

But instead he penned a three-year deal with League One side Colchester United and one of his first games for the U’s could come at Victoria Road, when Joey Dunne’s side visit the Daggers on July 26 for a pre-season friendly.

That game could also see goalkeeperMark Cousins line up against his former Colchester side, having made the switch to Daggers from the fellow Essex side.

Meanwhile, Seabright, Lewington’s understudy at Victoria Road during his two-year stay with the Daggers, has joined Conference Premier side Torquay United on a one-year deal to act as competition for Gulls number one Martin Rice after Michael Poke made the switch to Portmouth earlier in the summer.
