Scottish youngster will stay at Victoria Road until end of January

Dagenham & Redbridge have announced Alex Jakubiak has extended his loan with the club from Championship side Watford.

The 18-year-old moved to Victoria Road at the end of November on an initial one-month youth loan.

The forward scored on his debut the following day at Gigg Lane against Bury on November 29.

Wayne Burnett has introduced Jakubiak off the bench four times since he moved to Daggers, but has yet to reward the Scottish under-21 international with a start.

But the youngster will now remain at Victoria Road until January 31 and could feature in up to five more matches – including tomorrow’s match with Bury.
