Former Torquay United midfielder Joss Labadie became the eighth summer signing of boss Wayne Burnett after agreeing a two-year deal at Victoria Road.
His arrival follows swiftly on from that of defender Matthew Partridge, following his recent release from Reading.
Labadie, 23, joins having been released by Torquay United last summer, and has also played for Notts County, Tranmere Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Shrewsbury after coming through the Academy at Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.
The midfielder is returning to his London roots though, having earned his deal at the Baggies after impressing at Barking Abbey School.
It’s fair to say his time at Torquay was controversial though, after he was banned for 10 games following a biting incident in their 3-1 loss to Chesterfield on February 15.
That meant he couldn’t help the Gulls in their unsuccessful bid to stay in the division though, and after not renewing terms at Plainmoor, he was free to join the Daggers.
