Former Burnley winger signed up until start of February
Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed that winger George Porter has extended his stay with the Victoria Road club.
The 22-year-old signed a short-term contract with Wayne Burnett’s side at the start of the season, running until December 1.
He has featured in 18 of Daggers 19 League Two matches this campaign, the 2-0 victory against Bury on November 29 was the first time he has remained unused.
The former Leyton Orient winger has scored twice during his time with the club, netting in the 6-6 Capital One Cup fixture against Brentford and in the 3-2 home defeat to Cambridge United.
Porter has signed a contract until February 2 and the Daggers manager is pleased to be able to keep the winger.
“George is staying with us, which I am delighted about because he has done really well when he has come in,” Burnett said last week.
“The key for George is to find some consistency because he has great attributes.
“He is an excellent player he just needs to find more consistency.”
