Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the loan of Reading midfielder Lawson D’Ath on a one-month deal.

Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the loan of Reading midfielder Lawson D’Ath on a one-month deal.

D’Ath has played in League Two before, featuring against Wayne Burnett’s side while on loan with Exeter City last season, playing eight games for the Grecians, who just missed out on the play-offs.

The midfielder has featured just once for the Royals, as an 86th minute substitute back in January last year in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Stevenage.

The 20-year-old made the switch from the Royals before the loan transfer window closes later today, and will give the Daggers extra options after losing midfielder Billy Bingham to a medial knee ligament injury picked up in the 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

But D’Ath will have to pass a late fitness test if he is to make his debut for the Daggers on Saturday in their League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers at Victoria Road after picking up a slight ankle injury in a Reading reserve team fixture against QPR yesterday.
