League Two preview - A look at the teams ahead of the Cobblers visit to Victoria Road

Dagenham & Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett will have a decision to make at left back as his side prepare to face Northampton Town tomorrow at Victoria Road.

Jack Connors is away on international duty with Republic of Ireland under-21s for their match with Germany tonight, but Burnett has a couple of options ahead of the fixture with the Cobblers.

As he did last week in the latter stages at Oxford, he could switch Matt Partridge to left back, and bring in Damian Batt at right back after he made a return from an adductor injury.

The other possibility is to bring in Nathan Green as a like-for-like replacement for Connors, but that remains unlikely with Green yet to get any first-team minutes under his belt so far this term.

Billy Bingham (shins) and Rhys Murphy (hip) have returned to training, but the clash with Chris Wilder’s side is likely to have come too soon for the duo.

Loanee Josh Clarke will also miss the game through injury, while Christian Doidge (ankle) is still unlikely to feature.

Northampton will be without two loanees - sub goalkeeper Jordan Archer and Daniel Alfei, who are on international duty with Scotland and Wales under-21s respectively.

Defender Lee Collins (hamstring) is set to miss out, but new signing and former Southend United defender Ryan Cresswell is likely to come in for his debut.

Wilder has options in midfield with the signing of Ryan Watson on loan from Leicester City, while they could include a former Dagger in the shape of Lawson D’Ath after he signed a short-term deal with the Cobblers in the summer following a spell on loan from Reading with Wayne Burnett’s side.

Darren Carter has also returned from injury and is in line to feature, but the long-term absentees are Kelvin Langmead (Achilles), Lewis Hornby and Evan Horwood (both tendonitis) and Ian Morris (dislocated knee).
