Dagenham & Redbridge have made a move to boost home crowds at Victoria Road by slashing terrace season ticket prices for the 2014-15 campaign, as long as they are bought before May 30.

If purchased in the earlybird deal, it will cost just £179 for an adult (17 & over) and concessions, while a terrace and Traditional Builders Stand Combo
ticket will be £209 – the same as the price of one in the Barking & Dagenham College Family stand.

A seat in the Carling Stand will remain at £400, unless bought before May 30, when it will cost £335.

But it’s the terrace tickets offer which is a bold move by the club, having seen season ticket sales and the overall home attendance decline over the past few campaigns.

The Daggers have set a 1,000-plus season ticket target to reach before the earlybird deal closes, and in a club statement said: “The board does realise that just competing in the Football League is a feat in itself, but it also sees the work being done on and off the pitch, which is creating a real sense of optimism going forward.”

“The only disappointing feature in our Football League campaigns to date has been our inability to grow the fans base, despite the many initiatives
during that time.

“That ‘Twelfth’ Man many football managers often refer to has not always been on our side and it is hoped this offer will start to address this.

“Our target is 1,000-plus season tickets sold by the end of May. In the eyes of many clubs, not a huge number, but to us a significant increase and one we hope to be able to proudly boast before the fixture list is announced.”

If left until after May 30, the price of the terrace season ticket for an adult will remain at this season’s price, £335.

Matchday ticket prices for the 2014-15 season are yet to be announced.
