Dagenham & Redbridge and Northern Ireland under-21 international Sean Shields returns to Conference South side St Albans for two-month loan spell.

The winger, signed on a three-year deal from the Saints just before former boss John Still departed for Luton Town, has spent pre-season on the treatment table.

He made a return from injury towards the end of pre-season with game time at Billericay Town, but has only made the bench on one occasion to date this season – the Capital One Cup penalty shootout exit to Brentford.

And as a result of the lack of minutes, has headed back to Clarence Park club for a two-month loan spell and is available to go straight into their squad for the home game against Bishop’s Stortford tomorrow.

His temporary move away from Victoria Road follows hot on the heels of Jon Nouble’s one-month switch to Conference Premier side Welling United, which was confirmed yesterday by the Kent club.
