Leyton Orient boss Danny Webb made three early second half substitutions at Yeovil Town on Saturday and it helped the O’s claim their first League Two point of 2017.
The east Londoners were slightly unlucky to come in behind at the break after Francois Zoko opened the scoring on the stroke of half time.
But Gavin Massey’s 88th minute leveller rewarded the effort of Orient and gave the 151 travelling supporters something to shout about.
Sam Sargeant (7.5) – Another assured display by the teenager and so unlucky to concede after making a stunning save. Once again commanded his area strongly and got O’s on front foot quickly - he’s rapidly improving.
Myles Judd (7.5) – One mistake by the youngster and that was too switch off momentarily for the opener, but that aside was excellent again and offers so much energy at right-back.
Yvan Erichot (6) – French defender struggled to handle Yeovil’s Tom Eaves and was allowing the forward too much time and space before he was hauled off at half time after another below-par display.
Tom Parkes (7) – Ex-Bristol Rovers centre back stood up to the challenge at Huish Park and coped fairly well with the Glovers pacey forward line, which is an encouraging sign.
Nicky Hunt (7) – Started the game at left-back and was moved into the middle at start of the second half and did a decent job in both possessions, may be a decent option going forward at the heart of O’s defence.
Liam Kelly (7.5) – Great to have the vice-captain back and he brings so much to the Orient starting XI. He got forward well throughout and put his foot in when required, but should have scored before Massey did.
Nigel Atangana (7) – Solid showing from the French midfielder and went close to opening his account for the club early on. A lot of energy and linked up well with fellow partners in the middle of the park.
Michael Collins (7.5) – Immediately struck up telepathy with Kelly and I’m quite excited to see how the pair fair over next few weeks. Ex-Scunthorpe United ace is always full of running and stayed composed in tight positions.
Gavin Massey (8) – Ex-Yeovil Town loanee has been Orient’s most consistent performer since December and is in the middle of a purple patch now. It may have looked an easy finish, but he easily could have smashed it over, so showed good composure to get over the ball.
Rowan Liburd (6) – A lacklustre showing in the first half and didn’t hold the ball up enough or offer himself as an option. Will need to do more next time he is given an opportunity by Webb.
Sandro Semedo (6) - Mixed afternoon for young winger because he wasted a great opportunity in the first half when he should have played in Massey, but went alone and had a shot blocked while he was caught ball watching on a few occasions, but responded strongly after the break.
Callum Kennedy, for Erichot 46. (7.5) – Much better from the experienced full-back as he got forward with adventure and delivered some dangerous balls into the area.
Paul McCallum, for Liburd 54. (7.5) – Offered Orient a lot more threat up front and unsettles opposition defenders. He produced a couple of brave headers and did really well for the equaliser.
Josh Koroma, for Atangana 65. (7.5) – Really impressive showing from the academy player and arguably his best display for O’s, as he showed no fear to keep running at home defence and put in several excellent crosses, one which led to the goal.
