Transfer news; Owen Hargreaves will hope to impress Mark Hughes as he trains with the R’s
QPR have revelead that former England international Owen Hargreaves is training with the club following his release from Manchester City last season.
The 31-year-old, who has 42 caps for his country, has been plagued by injury in recent seasons, and he is training with the west London club as he bids to maintain his fitness.
Manager Mark Hughes has made it clear, however, that QPR have no deal in place to sign the former Bayern Munich star.
“Owen is training with the group. There is no obligation for either party,” Hughes told QPR’s official website.
“He is keen to retain his fitness and we are more than happy to help him by allowing him to train with us and use our facility at Harlington.”
Transfer news: Scout and former sporting director of French club Monaco Tor-Kristian Karlsen has claimed that Liverpool are set to pip Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
