Transfer news: Clint Dempsey is being linked with a move away from Craven Cottage
Fulham have insisted that they have received no bids for star man Clint Dempsey, despite reports suggesting that he had signed for Liverpool.
The American has been linked with a host of leading Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Everton after an impressive season for the Whites, scoring 23 goals in 45 games.
Fulham, however, have insisted that they have not received any bids for Dempsey.
“We have not received any bids for Clint Dempsey,” a spokesperson said. “We would also discourage any bids.”
Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group, had claimed on their website, although this was later withdrawn
Dempsey would join Fabio Borini as the Reds’ second summer signing and Brendan Rodgers looks to turn the Merseyside club’s fortunes around.
