Aaron Hughes has got high hopes for the Cottagers this season
Aaron Hughes believes Fulham can build on their promising start to the season and enjoy a successful campaign in the Premier League.
The Cottagers put in an encouraging performance in their 3-2 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday and thrashed Norwich 5-0 on the opening day.
They face Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in tomorrow’s Capital One Cup second round and Northern Ireland international Hughes is happy with how they are shaping up.
“We did really well against Norwich and there’s a lot we can take from the Man Utd game too,” the defender told the Fulham’s official website.
“It’s been a good start, but there’s a long way to go yet.
“We’re solid at the back, have players with a lot of creativity in midfield and up front we can score goals - it’s a nice balance.
“With that in mind, looking ahead, we could have a good season.”
