Transfer news: Defender’s Fulham future looks uncertain
Rafik Halliche has paved his way for a move out of Fulham by admitting wants regular football.
French side Lens are reportedly in the running for the Algerian international defender as the 25-year-old is at the bottom of boss Martin Jol’s pecking order.
The 25-year-old, who signed from Portuguese giants Benfica in 2010 for £2.5million, has only made two appearances off the substitutes’ bench for the Cottagers.
Halliche was allowed to go on loan at Scottish champions Celtic last year but he did not earn a permanent moved and so returned to London.
“I am doing my pre-season,” he told Sky Sports. “To be honest I want to play week-in week-out this season either at Fulham or somewhere else.”
Transfer news: Scout and former sporting director of French club Monaco Tor-Kristian Karlsen has claimed that Liverpool are set to pip Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
