With it being Mothering Sunday this weekend, we want to pay tribute to all the sporting mums in our part of Essex and East London.

Whatever the sport, be it athletics, boxing, cricket, football, hockey, ice hockey, rugby, swimming or any other, we would like to hear your tales of achievement by inspirational women.

Not only that, we want you to tell us about those mums who sacrifice so much to help their children pursue their own sporting dreams, acting as a taxi service or washing muddy kit without complaint!

And there are no doubt plenty of women out there who take on the thankless tasks of managing or coaching teams to ensure not only their own children, but also others, get the chance to play and enjoy sport.

My own mum was a regular fixture on the touchlines, while I was playing football for Robert Clack School in the late 1980s and had no shortage of shirts, shorts and socks to clean for my brother and I.

To pay your special tributes to sporting mums this weekend, from our boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets, email dagenhampost.sport@archant.co.uk.

And a special Happy Mother’s Day from us!

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
