Kent raced to a comfortable away win at the Iver Heath Bowls Club in Saturday’s Home Counties League clash.
In the six-rink match, Duncan Hanmore’s team won by 20 shots, with Chris Smith, Dave Banfield and Jeff Vane all on winning rinks.
The win earned Kent 18 points and they will hope to continue their good form at Hampshire in the Middleton Cup this weekend.
Kent: McNeeley, Bailey, Evans, Smith; Boatwright, Kirby, Hayward, Hanmore; Johnson, Hubbard, Wells, Vane; Whiting, Collins, Allen, Savage; Foster, Stark, Stewart, Morton; Gough, Allen, Evans, Shields.
Fernando Torres believes interim Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez deserves major credit for steering the west Londoners to Europa League glory and securing Champions League qualification.
