Transfer news: The QPR midfielder is training with the Cod Army
QPR midfielder Joey Barton has denied that he is joining Fleetwood on loan.
The 29-year-old will miss the first 12 matches of the season after his actions at Manchester City and BBC Lancashire had reported that he could be moving to Highbury.
“BBC news jumping the gun a bit,” he said on Twitter. “I’ve not signed for Fleetwood. Just currently enjoying training there...”
