Transfer news: The Clint Dempsey transfer saga rumbles on
Fulham manager Martin Jol remains adamant that the club have not received any bids for Clint Dempsey.
The Whites have complained to the Premier League about Liverpool’s actions and the American has not featured for the past four or five weeks and the Dutch boss admitted that his hands are tied.
“No, there’s no change. Everyone thinks he was left out of the squad again.
“The best scenario is we talk with him every day.
“If there is no bid - like Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis at Wolves - he could have played until he got his big move. I would have liked that.
“There was no official bid so it is a very bad situation for him and us.
“I haven’t seen him much this year. If there is no bid, what can I do?
“I can’t send him to non league or put him on loan at Stevenage. Maybe something will happen next week”
Like Luka Modric, at Tottenham, Dempsey is training alone, away from the squad as he waits for a move to materialise in the final days of the transfer window.
