Speedway: Lakeside Hammers Lawson and Ellis fail to impress in British Final

Lakeside Hammers duo Richard Lawson and Adam Ellis were unable to make any real impact during the 2018 Sports Insure British Final.

Captain Lawson tallied six points, with a second place in his second outing his best performance behind outgoing Champ Craig Cook.

And while Adam Ellis got his night off to a dream start, beating experienced former internationals Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris, he was unable to add to his opening three points.

The meeting was won by King’s Lynn Stars skipper Robert Lambert.

Lakeside are back in action this Friday (June 15, 8pm) when they host Berwick at the Arena-Essex Raceway in what promises to be a thrilling Championship clash.
