Transfer news: Boss of French club reveals Cesar Azpilicueta is keen on Blues
Cesar Azpilicueta’s move to Chelsea appears to be moving closer after Marseille president Vincent Labrune admitted the full back wants to leave.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has been on the Blues’ radar and the French club’s chief has revealed that negotiations are underway.
“I have spoken to Chelsea’s chief executive and they are easy to deal with. We have told them the price and they will come back and agree it or not,” Labrune told ESPN.
“We would much prefer the player to sign a new contract and stay but he wants to go to Chelsea and it’s a good club so we cannot stand in his way.”
