Josh Wright will return to his former club
Millwall star Josh Wright is looking forward to making his return to Charlton with the Lions but is just going to take it one game at a time.
The south London derby takes place at The Den on December 1 and at The Valley on March 19, 2013.
The 22-year-old only made three appearances for the Addicks as a youngster before moving to Scunthorpe.
“I take each game as it comes,” Wright told London24. “I’m looking forward to that.
“It’ll be the first time I will play Charlton since I left them in 2009.
“We’re going to look to do well in every game.
“I just like to see who we’ve got and what plans and how it’s looking.
“It doesn’t matter who we’ve got. I’m just looking forward to the season.”
First up for the Lions in the league is a home game against Blackpool and the midfielder is expecting a difficult challenge.
“Every game is tough in this division,” he said.
“It’s up to us to stop Blackpool play.
“It’s ironic we had them in the last game of the season.
“I think it’s anyone’s division. Anyone can win it or go down.
“We’re going to look for the top half and then it’s the play-offs and that’s where we want to go.”
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has played down suggestions he wants Rafael Benitez to be the club’s new head coach and claimed the delegation that visited England yesterday was hoping to secure an exchange deal with Manchester City for Edinson Cavani.
