Tony Fernandes is pleased with the deals done so far
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has been delighted with the signings the club have made in the early part of the summer transfer window.
The R’s have made Samba Diakite’s loan deal permanent as well as bringing in Fulham’s Andy Johnson, West Ham’s Rob Green and Tottenham’s Ryan Nelsen.
Manchester United youngster Fabio also joined the club on a season long loan.
“We have a great manager [in Mark Hughes] and we have made some good signings already in a very quick period,” Fernandes said.
“We have a bit more work to do but things are moving in the right direction.”
Transfer news: Scout and former sporting director of French club Monaco Tor-Kristian Karlsen has claimed that Liverpool are set to pip Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
