Rugby Union: Barking kids could take to Twickenham pitch during London Double Header this weekend

A group of Barking youth players could be lucky enough to play on the hallowed turf at Twickenham Stadium this weekend.

The Gale Street club are sending an under-nines team to compete in a tag rugby festival hosted by Premiership Rugby at Kneller Hall on Saturday morning.

Following the completion of that event, a randomised draw will take place to see which teams will take part in a match during half time of one of the two Avivia Premiership games due to take place at Twickenham on Saturday.

Also on Saturday at Kneller Hall, Barking will be sending players from their under-13s and under-14s side to take part in a coaching clinic.

The session, which has also been organised by Premiership Rugby, will feature an array of core rugby skills across a number of stations. Each station will be delivered by a Saracens or London Irish player.
