Girls come out on top in borough competition

Robert Clack’s year eight netball team came out on top in the annual borough rally for the second year running at Barking Abbey.

The Dagenham school fielded two teams at the event, with the As winning all of their games and the Bs also enjoying their share of success to just miss out on a semi-final place as they finished third in their group.

Clack faced All Saints in the final, which proved to be a tense encounter as play swung from end to end, and they held on to claim an 11-10 victory.

PE teacher Charlotte Higginson said: “All players looked very professional in their netball dresses as they took the court and all girls worked well together.

“It was lovely to see them play at their best after a long season of training and friendlies. This is a tremendous effort by both teams and an excellent result from Robert Clack.”

Robert Clack A: Isobel Fletcher-Robinson, Rhyanna Williams, Claudia Perdoch, Amelia Balogun, Alecia Sesiuk, Ellie Luxton, Sumana Ahmed.
