“Disappointed” Jason Donovan took to Twitter after organisers cancelled the first-ever live performance of ‘Especially For You’ – his pop classic duet with Kylie Minogue.
Hit Factory Live in London’s Hyde Park fell victim to dreadful weather conditions – including teeming rain.
Legions of fans were left shocked by the late announcement – 24 hours before the show was due to begin today (Wednesday).
One young fan even had flown in from Bermuda especially for Jason and Kylie’s performance
“To everyone who was heading to Hyde Park tomorrow ..... What can I say .... we are all extremely disappointed,” said Donovan on the micro-blogging site.
“We appreciate that you all must be extremely frustrated but please bear in mind that this decision was not taken Lightly ......”
“Can’t believe it .... Was really looking forward to celebrating the wonderful work of Mike Matt and Pete and all who made those songs “
“Yesterday was a great rehearsal .... Band, songs and even my voice was all sounding great Kylie and I were really looking forward”
“Gutted but not a lot we can do .... You ok ? Would’ve been great to catch up!!”
Devastated pop lovers registered their displeasure on Twitter.

Cheerful song, clever trickery and the occasional comedy clanger make Cinderella at the Broadway Theatre, Barking, a romping delight for all ages and a thoroughly feel-good piece of musical theatre.
