Families keen to enjoy a day in the country have the chance to win tickets to the Kent County Show.

It promises something for everyone, with arena displays, mouth-watering food, prize-winning livestock, floral art, a variety of trade stands – and the chance to fly with a Spitfire.

We have teamed up with the show to offer five family tickets for this year’s event on July 13, 14, and 15.

The tickets give a family of four – two adults and two children – free entry to the show held at the Kent Showground, Detling, near Maidstone, located on the A249 between the M2 and M20 motorways.

Visitors will find extensive free parking and should also keep a look out for the Kent County Show’s new mascot, Woolly the Sheep.

Other highlights are the Bolddog Lings motorcycle display team, the chance to fly alongside a Spitfire on the Friday (13), and a 4x4 track allowing visitors to experience off-roading thrills.

For a chance of winning a family ticket to one of three days of the show, send your answer to the question below, together with your name, address, telephone number and email address to Kent County Show Competition, c/o Maxine Leckerman, Recorder Newspapers, Media House, 539 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1UD.

Q: What is the name of the Kent County Show mascot?

1) Woolly the Sheep.

2) Henry the Horse or

3) Bobby the Bull.

The first five correct entries drawn from the postbag on the closing date of Wednesday, July 4 will each win a family ticket to one of the days of the show.
