The Apprentice officially returned to our screens this week - with an east Londoner beginning her quest to be Lord Sugar's business partner.

Amina Khan appeared for the first time on screen in yesterday's opening episode (February 1) and survived the first task.

Episode one saw all candidates take up a 'Highland corporate away day' challenge where they were split into two teams - the girls and the boys - and tasked with organising activities and preparing a meal.

The girls team had a disaster cooking for their guests.

Despite winning the challenge, advisor Karren Brady described their food preparations as "chaos".

She said to Lord Sugar: "In this process we've seen a lot of bad food - this was probably the worst food I've ever seen".

Her comments came after the team served their guests fishcakes that had been breaded in sweet crumble topping - rather than breadcrumbs.

Amina commented on the nightmare herself, admitting on Instagram: "It has gone down as one of the worst food disasters on @apprenticeuk".

The Ilford businesswoman will be returning to our screens for the second task in an episode airing on February 8.
