The event was held on Saturday (March 23) and allowed people to ride historic buses along the 62 and 145 routes from 10am to 5pm.

The 62 bus operated from Barking town centre to Chadwell Heath, going past Upney and Becontree stations.

Registered charity the London Bus Museum ran the historic transport from Redbridge station past Barking Bus Garage to Kent Avenue, Dagenham, on the 145 route.

One of the buses used was the last G351 "Guy Arab II" London bus dated from 1945, according to Peter Osborn of the London Bus Museum, who was driving it on Saturday.
