Details of the annual Barking and Dagenham Christmas panto have emerged – almost six months before it opens.
The Broadway Theatre in Barking, has unveiled some of its plans for classic of the genre, Cinderella.
It will be showcasing a production of the fairytale, about a modest servant girl who is late for the ball where she meets her Prince Charming, for just over a month.
The production will open on November 29, with the final curtain set to fall on January 2.
A theatre spokesman said: “Cinderella is arguably the most popular pantomime story of them all, and while most of us know how it ends, the magic of the story is in the telling.
“Our recent pantomimes have been acclaimed by public and critics alike, and Cinderella at the Broadway promises to be every bit as magical.”
School performances will be at 10.30am and 1.30pm during term-time and family performances at 2pm and 6pm between Tuesday and Saturday during school holidays and at weekends, while Sunday shows will go ahead at 4pm.
The theatre is planning to release details of the cast at a later date. For more information on current productions, log on to thebroadwaybarking.com
