Eastbury Manor House

Are you brave enough to endure a night of scares? You can prove it by taking part in a paranormal investigation of Barking’s most haunted building on Friday.

It’s not one for the fainthearted as you’ll discover the hidden past and ghostly activity that has lurked in Eastbury Manor House for 500 years, guided by medium Maurice Finch, who has 20 years’ experience as a spiritualist.

The event, which runs from 10pm to 3am in the Eastbury Square manor house, will include a picnic supper at midnight.

Cllr Darren Rodwell, leader of Barking and Dagenham council, said: “Eastbury Manor House is a wonderful building with a great history. Even during the daytime it gives you the impression that it has a lot to say, so I can only imagine how this is heightened during the night.”

Tickets cost £30, including refreshments and the picnic. Advanced booking and pre-payment are essential and you must be over 18 to attend. For more information or to book tickets, who ya’ gonna call? Ring the manor house on 020 8227 2331.
