Step back in time to the 1890s and enjoy the glorious and glamorous heyday of the British music hall.

The Broadway theatre, Barking, will play host to an afternoon of entertainment on Thursday as the Magnificent Music Hall put on a performance of singing, old school magic and comedy.

The group, made up predominantly of stars from the BBC’s longest running TV series, The Good Old Days, will be heading to Barking off the back of sell-out shows across London to play classics from the 1890s.

Producer Jan Hunt said: “We are excited as it’s taking place in the heart of London, where a lot of music hall songs and stars come from. We are bringing traditional music here to the people of Barking to take them on a journey down memory lane.”

The Magnificent Music Hall show will start at 3pm. Tickets cost £13 to £16. For more information, call 020 8507 5607.
