DAGENHAM-based rockers Retrofin launched their new music video with a party at their HQ.

The event at MusicTek studios in Rainham Road South, Dagenham, was held to promote the video for Civilian Soldiers, the latest single from their debut album, The Human Condition.

Both the song and film are inspired by Londoners' resilient response to the July 7 terrorist attacks on their city. During the launch party Retrofin played a rocking 40 minute set.

MusicTek representatives are currently having talks with the Kerrang and Q television stations to try and get the video screened on the small screen.

Meanwhile Retrofin are still planning to set off on a tour of the States next year. It was originally scheduled for March but is now looking more likely to happen in the middle of the year.

Closer to home the band's fans should keep an ear out for a session on BBC Radio Essex which is pencilled in for early 2009.

And speaking of MusicTek there could soon be something for serious guitar fans to get their teeth into.

Management are planning to launch a regular rock night for adults, which will possibly start in February, so watch this space for more details.
