Europe’s leading tribute to the Queen of country, Dolly Parton, will be at The Broadway theatre on Friday next week.

Sarah Jayne comes to the venue with impeccable credentials – she has been performing as Dolly for more than two decades, and even warmed up the crowd at the star’s own O2 arena show.

Sarah Jayne, who is originally from Kent, said: “When I was a young girl I loved to sing and many people said I sounded like Dolly.

“My love of country music over the years has grown.

“When I was 16 at an audition for a show I was told I could certainly perform a tribute to her – but then tributes were rare and unheard of.”

But it’s not just Sarah’s voice that fits the part. Her wardrobe contains replica dresses and costumes from landmark Dolly performances in Las Vegas and Nashville. She will be joined on stage for the night by husband and business partner Andy Crust.

Alongside Dolly songs, the pair will perform some of the most influential country music ever written. Andy and Sarah will cover songs made famous by the likes of Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Billie Jo Spears, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and John Denver.

Andy is working as a host on Australian TV’s The Tribute Show.

Tickets are priced £14.50 to £16.50. Visit thebroadwaybarking.com or call 020 8507 5607 for more information
