Enjoy some cheesy Eurovision fun in Barking

»A glorious celebration of everything Eurovision is coming to Barking.
Eurobeat – Almost Eurovision, at the Broadway Theatre from today until Saturday, is an interactive musical with the audience voting for its favourite song.
On the night, everyone will be assigned to one of the ten competing countries as they enter the theatre. It doesn’t matter if you are from Barking, Dagenham or Ilford – for that evening you are from the country you are given.
You can’t vote for your own country, but there is nothing to stop you “bribing” others.
The show is set in Sarajevo, which has won the right to host the competition.
Competing countries are Italy, Poland, Iceland, United Kingdom, Hungary, Russia, Ireland, Greece, Germany and Sweden.
Director Steve Day said: “Eurobeat is a huge celebration of everything to do with the Eurovision song contest and is one of the first interactive musicals ever.
“It gives everyone the chance to participate in Europe’s greatest show. It has a magnificent cast, with slightly mad but brilliant performers.”
Eurobeat starts at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 3pm. Tickets are priced at £12.50 (concessions £10).
