GET READY for magic, games of Quidditch, good versus evil and lots of fun - all in 60 minutes.

Watch as dynamic duo, Jeff Turner and Dan Clarkson; take on the mammoth task of acting out all the Harry Potter books in one hour.

Following two sold out Edinburgh Fringe Festival seasons and a sell-out nationwide tour - Potted Potter takes to the road again in 2008.

The lads race through books one to six at a lively pace and give you a few special book seven teasers - but they promise not to spoil the ending just in case you haven't read it yet.

For muggles of all ages it's the perfect night out at the theatre with all your favourite characters up on stage.

This spectacular display of comedy, song and lightening-fast costume changes has just the right kind of magic to delight audiences everywhere.

Kids get the chance to join in with a live game of Quidditch, watch spellbound as a magic contest takes place between Harry and Voldemort.

And laugh along with a fantastic new finale song - this is a great evening's entertainment even if you are not a fan of the books.

Dan and Jeff created Potted Potter concept after they were asked to do a five-minute performance for a bookshop to launch the sixth book in 2005.

This soon led to the spectacular show which has been featured on Richard and Judy and Blue Peter.

They began the show at the Edinburgh festival in 2006 and since then, the boys have developed it to cover all seven of JK Rowling's incredible literary creations.

Dan said: "When I was asked to do something for the launch of the sixth book I was thrilled.

"I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. It stems from reading the books to my little brother and then getting hooked myself.

"What we do is a parody but we don't make fun, we are respectful of the original stories.

"Of course we have to cut a lot of it out because we only have an hour but Jeff and I have a great time.

"I think it really helps if you love something and I really do love the books.

"I'm the guy who camps out the night before the next one is released dressed as a wizard - I'm a big kid what can I say!

"My favourite is The Order of the Phoenix because it has a slightly darker edge.

"I really like playing the bad guys like Voldemort and Sirius Black."

Potted Potter is at the Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June, with two showings at 3pm and 7pm.

Suitable for kids of six and over tickets cost £8 - £10, family ticket £32, call 01245 606505 or www.chelmsford.gov.uk/theatres.
